So I was browsing Entertainment Weekly.com and I came across a link on the side of my screen: Soap Star Lands Lead on 24. Wait! Before you click, guess who it is. If you’re like me and you guessed Steve Burton, you’re in for a pleasant surprise (depending on whether or not you like Jason) because it’s actually Annie Wersching (Amelia). I know, I didn’t see that one either. (I wonder how Steve Burton feels about this…)
Anyway, AW will play an adversarial role opposite Keifer. I would like to think she got the role because of the adversarial role she plays opposite Kelly Monaco. I can just see it now; AW’s unnamed character, who I’m just going to call “Amelia 2.0″ waltzes into CTU with plans to make a reality show about Jack Bauer. Since Jack Bauer routinely saves the day (in 24 hours, natch!) I think The Real 24 (patent pending) would be a perfect lead-in to Everyday Heroes. Then sometime in the early afternoon, Amelia 2.0 reveals that she’s out for vengeance because Jack Bauer murdered her father (and by this point, since Jack has killed so many people, you could just pick one at random). Then Jack will save her from gunfire and they’ll become lovahs.
See, I can write for primetime, too!

And if they go for that storyline I’d actually watch 24 again. It sounded fun.
[...] trial? I find it curious that there doesn’t seem to be a media presence, but I guess since Amelia disappeared to film the increasingly delayed 24 season, we haven’t had any journalists on the show. Besides, while a lover, [...]
