Today I saw the first picture of Chris Noth and Sarah Jessica Parker on the set of the new Sex & the City movie. Those two really do a number on me. I loved loved loved that show and while I don’t necessarily think the movie is the best idea jeans, I’ll totally see it. I am ridiculously devoted to my favorites, which is why I have seen like every Owen Wilson movie.
Anyway, I totally get the Big and Carrie relationship. In fact, you could possibly say that, much like the idea of Bo and Hope or Steve and Kayla, its ruined my life. I think when you are presented with certain ideas of romance, you take those to heart, and try to replicate them. Since my parents were divorced, I really didn’t have the best notion of love so I, of course, turned to television. Now, Big and Carrie are not a highly functioning couple, but I cheered for them for the entire series. I know that a lot of people weren’t pleased that they ended up together, but you know what? It’s a television show. I think that every girl has been involved with a “Big” at one point and it probably didn’t last, so yes, its probably completely unrealistic that they got back together, but then a simple girl can dream, can’t she?
