I hate Lulu: Day 2

My hatred of Lulu grows exponentially everyday.  I would rather be at an awkward work dinner party at Michael Scott’s condo watching Jan throw Dundies at plasma screen TVs than Lulu try to insinuate herself in the mob scene.  She’s so self absorbed, I can’t even deal with it.  If this were one of those 1950’s teen movies, she would totally be that girl that threw her scarf in the air and started all the drag races, which would be apt since, let’s be honest, you know she’d be dating both racers.  At this point, does she even have fans?  I think the writers love her, which is no surprise, since the three “stars” of the show are Jason, Carly, and Sonny. But do fans?  I mean, here’s a girl that broke up a marriage, had all the boys in Port Charles under 30 on a short leash, almost killed her boyfriend and then slept with a mob scion while said boyfriend was in a coma.  That’s not a heroine, that’s Jessica Wakefield.

So when Lulu was leaving Kate’s and grandstanded to Sonny about being Johnny’s alibi are we to assume that she was willfully ignoring the smackdown she received previously or that she’s just plain stupid?  Then she has to race over to the Quartermaine Manse to tell Claudia that she think she’s gotten Johnny off the hook.  Even Claudia was like “bitch, please”.  I enjoyed Luke telling her off, but what good will it do?  Tony Geary will just on on vacation again and then Lulu will be all “woe is me, my dad abandons me” while drowning her sorrows in the arms of whatever bad boy shows up in Port Charles during May Sweeps.

In other news, I read that Vanessa Marcil may be returning and all I can think is “how can the writers assassinate another popular character?” Because you know that’s how it will go.  That and the revolving door of Sonny’s women: Brenda, Carly, Kate, Claudia, Tumor Emily.  The character of Brenda is so treasured that the writers should just have VM come back as Gina, her character from 90210.  Then maybe Tori Spelling can reoccur; you know she’d be fair game.

[...] Crazy Lulu It’s no secret that I find Lulu annoying and ever present so I find myself alternately enthralled and over the “Lulu goes crazy” [...]
