I’m sitting here in my bed (don’t judge) watching Days, in awe of Dr. Jonas, or as I like to call him, “The Healthcare Crusader”. Now, I’m pretty healthy, so I mostly go to the doctor’s office for a routine physical, but I’ve had friends and family in the hospital, and let me tell you, Chelsea’s experience is not typical. First of all, how hard is it to find a doctor in a hospital in real life? Sure, you see plenty of nurses, but the doctors are always “on rounds”. I guess Dr. Jonas doesn’t have rounds or any other patients for that matter. It’s all Chelsea, all the time. (Actually I think it’s 85% Chelsea/15% surfing/pretending he’s still in his twenties.) Dr. Jonas sat there with Chelsea regaling her with tales about his Australian adventures (I am guessing, I kind of tuned out, so he could very well have told her about what he ate last night at Outback Steakhouse) for the same amount of time it took Hope to bleed out at Ava’s. Dr. Jonas is all about the personal care! Is it odd that I secretly wonder what insurance Chelsea has? I wonder if she’s on Bo’s plan and if so, is it an HMO? Maybe Victor hooked her up with some super fancy PPO. Who knows? All I’m saying is that if there were more doctors like Daniel…then we’d all need to lock up our young daughters.

I hate Daniel. I hate Chelsea.
And today? It’s going to be worse.
But I don’t understand, why did Daniel throw Kate and Nick out of the room when he was just going to sit down and talk to her himself?
Because Chelsea’s a captive, sedated audience?
I think sedated is part of it. God knows I need drugs when Daniel starts doing his surfing talk.
