Just a Simple Girl with a Dream

…Why does Dena Higley and company make Ava graze and drink at the establishment founded by man she played a part in killing? Methinks that her unhealthy obsession with “Patch” has crossed over to all the Bradys.  My God, what is with this woman?  Her father was shot and killed there the previous day! You would think that she’d be a little unhinged after her bitch fight with Chelsea earlier in the day, but no, not our girl.  She’s all about drinking mojitos at the Brady Pub (an Irish Pub by the way…not South Beach).  Speaking of those delightful rum drinks, I think Days broke the record for namedropping them, which as anyone that sat through the film version of Miami Vice can tell, is no small accomplishment.

Don’t get me wrong; I love Ava and Nicole together; I just wish that they were boozing it up at Chez Rouge or the Penthouse Grill or hell, even Blondies or some other establishment that doesn’t exist anymore.  I hate how the world revolves around The Brady Pub: Phillip takes Chloe there for a post-coital snack; Morgan and Stephanie meet with the professor; Tony and Anna get engaged; EJ meets with all of his clients because the show’s too cheap to build a set for him, etc., etc.

I find it fascinating all the careers that EJ has gone through: International Race Car Driver of Mystery, Global Communications CEO, Gloved Hand, and now attorney at law.  I love it, although, if EJ is clearly the new go-to attorney, will he lose all of his cases like Mickey always did?  Speaking of the Mickster, why did they bother recasting the character if he’s never on?  He showed up to usher Lucas home and that was it.  If he’s out “delivering goods to the needy” again during the Horton Ornament Hanging, I’m really going to cry foul.
