Green Eyed Monster

Apparently Caroline Brady spoke to Maggie Horton and Salem is Greener than Lou Ferigno now.  Between all this Green business and whatever the hell Nick, Max, and the Professor are up to, I feel like I’m in Science Study Hall or worse…The Eco Club.  If we’re treated to scenes of Hope and Bo tending to their compost heap in the next two weeks, I’m through.

In other Green news, Nicole is envious that EJ loves Sami and EJ is envious that Sami thinks she loves Lucas.  Marlena is green with envy because John is dating every Salemite under 35 and Hope looks pretty green since John mentioned the long-forgotten Sub Sex.  Let me just say that Sub Sex was Days at its campy best: Marlena crying on a beach in Hawaii as Hope pours champagne straight out of the bottle down John’s throat while Blondie’s “Raputre” plays.  Why is that I only love John Black when he’s completely out of his mind?  For real, I want him to get liquored up and then parade Ava around town like they’re Kurt and Courtney.

Speaking of Ava, I love her friendship with Nicole; it’s nice that two women can be friends without being related or through a shared ex-husband.  When Nicole was droning on about how boring Salem was on a Monday night, did anyone else want Ava to suggest the Sex and the City movie?  Ava was locked up for a pretty long time and I’m sure Dead Mafia Daddy provided her with HBO or at least the DVDs.  I can see Ava being a Big/Carrie shipper since she probably saw them in line with her and “Patch”.  Bonus for Kayla playing the Natasha part.

Does Max annoy anyone else?  His surly demeanor and ability to freak out over the most minute things is fast approaching Lulu Spencer-levels of hate.  When did he become all uptight about his intelligence?  He never seemed that insecure when he was a race car driver and he sure thought he was something special when he invested the garage in Touch the Sky Airlines.  Now suddenly he’s insecure but also a genius?  I liked him better when he was just a chronic niece-romancer.

  1. Hee, in other green news.

I also love Ava’s friendship with Nicole. And I just saw the SinC movie so I’d have loved her to suggest it and so within character.

I’m so sick of Max. Though as bad as he is, I’d still rather watch that then Chelsea and Dan…oh you know.

  2. I can’t even think about Chelsea and Tan, I mean Dan.

  3. Good Max Hunting combined with Chan is nearly enough to drive me from the show. Thankfully the pretty that is EJ and Philip will keep me sane through this bunch of crap. Tripp and I were talking about how interesting it would have been if Days had explored what appeared to be a potentially abusive relationship between her and Jeremy and then used that now to compare with Max and his rages. When he yelled at her, “I said, NO” at the book signing, it would have been a great time to flash back to Jeremy treating her like crap and having her deal with that. Of course anything is better than the Sooper Sekrit Genius we’re getting now.

  4. [...] Green.  Green’s not just a plot contrivance, it’s a full blown character now.  In fact, Green gets more screentime than Roman and if Green gets any bigger, I’m sure that he and Dee Hall will have to fight it out. [...]
