…is just as exciting as July 4th…which means not at all.
Days has been boring me lately. I realize it can’t all be mob violence and murders like another show I watch but DOOLis rapidly approaching Guiding LIght terrority where not even a hot, shirtless guy (EJ) can keep my attention.
Plots that bore me:
- Good Will Max. Why is he the focal point of the show? Let’s be honest: I still don’t understand his Emmy nomination (although I know it’s a consequence of block voting, but what about poor Blake Berris?) The fact that a storyline involving Max is apparently the summer’s big plot astounds me and roping Steve and Kayla isn’t helping matters. Let’s see, they just had the world’s most premature baby and now they’re forced to sit around and placate Rage! Max. Pass.
- Abe, Lexie and Theo: I feel bad saying this, but I feel no emotional connection to their storyline. Perhaps if Lexie wasn’t a serial cheater and Abe wasn’t constantly portrayed as a crazed, cuckold husband, I’d feel more attachment to their plight.
- Green. Green’s not just a plot contrivance, it’s a full blown character now. In fact, Green gets more screentime than Roman and if Green gets any bigger, I’m sure that he and Dee Hall will have to fight it out.
Plots that annoy me:
- Chelsea and Daniel: What else can I say that hasn’t already been said?
- Sami, Lucas, EJ, Chloe, Nicole: I’m very thankful for Maxie on General Hospital because she reminds me why I used to root for Sami. She’s plucky and manipulative but has a heart; just don’t cross her. The “New” Sami, meanwhile, cries and whines and wears lots of nceklaces. I’ve started to fast forward her. I also fast forward anything involving Lucas because I don’t enjoy any actor that can only yell lines (which is why I can’t get into any Pacino movie made after 1984). I somewhat like EJ and Nicole but that’s only because EJ and Sami were wrecked beyond repair.
- Green. It’s everywhere.
