A Reception to Remember

Here are my problems with the aborted Bope Wedding Reception:

  1. Daniel was there.  Why that suprises me since he’s now attached to Chelsea like a lichen, however, I find it unnerving that Daniel is once again there for Brady family drama.  Besides being sixty five years young, Daniel is like some Black Angel of Doom hovering over the Kirakis/Roberts clan waiting for one of them to wind up back at Salem University Hospital. 
  2. Chelsea’s hair-I’m sorry, I still can’t get past the stripes. 
  3. Mickey-Are you like me and constantly forget who he is?  He’s on like five times a quarter and everytime I sit there and think “and who is this again?  One of Kate’s random ex-hookups?”  If he is going to continue to pop up randomly, can we at least get a shot of the law office?  It makes more sense than EJ just randomly conducting attorney/client meetings at the Brady Pub.
  4. I love how everyone is so shocked that Bo could be hiding evidence.  Um, remember when certain people (HOPE) thought that Bo destroyed evidence to help Chelsea when she ran over Zack?What I enjoyed:

Now it wasn’t all negative:

    Hope’s dress is still stunning and Bo looks twenty years younger than Daniel without facial hair. I also would like to throw out some style points to Marlena. For once, she decided to forgo the “Belle Watling meets Maid of Honor” ruffled ensembles she usually sports to Salem’s premier events. I quite enjoyed her pencil skirt and thought it held nicely while she was wrestling with her assailant and then writhing around on the floor. Oh Doc, don’t ever change!As long as I’ve giving out props, I should point out that I’m glad that Victor modeled his backyard on Mac Cory’s. Seriously, did that not look like the Cory Mansion or what? All it was missing was the pool that Matthew would swim laps in. I enjoyed all the plotting and lemonade drinking although I found Morgan’s dress quite distressing. Is that what a Southern Belle wears to visit her Beau’s family home? Where was her parasol?

1. Yes, Daniel being there bugged me too, especially since I saw the promo and no shot of Nick who is after all Hope’s cousin (luckily they explained his absense). The good news? It was almost like Dan wasn’t there since Chelsea mentioned earlier how she hoped “a guy” one day could do something as romantic (them backing away from the chan propping leads me to believe we will be soon away from them) and there was no camera shot centered on Chan as a couple.

2. Her stripes I think have thinned out but why has her hair gotten all scrunchy?

3. Hee, why did they bother casting Mickey with the awesome actor KD if they aren’t going to use him?

4. The drama on Bo hiding evidence was honestly melodramatic even for a soap. Given he was accused of hiding it for Chelsea I’d think they would have at least played it off like “whatever” and move on. Chelsea’s reaction was what I would have expected out of Ciara and Bo telling Dan to “take her home” made me roll my eyes.

OMG, the backyard did look like the Cory Mansion! Hee. Victor looks a bit like Mac Cory and Kate could be similar to Rachel with bad hair. Or maybe her hair resembles Rachels back then?

:) I agree with your irritation over Daniel’s presence. Thankfully Doug’s head was often blocking him from view. Also he and Chelsea were sitting there but not touching in any way until she had her hissy and Daddy asked him to take her home. Nail in the coffin, Chan, you’re about to be gone for good! hehe

I loved Hope’s whole look, dress, hair, etc. She’s too thin, but still gorgeous. HATED the HSN add for her jewelry though. God…that was worse than the Midol!

Tripp- Viva le Cory Mansion! And yes Victor and Kate should be the new Mac and Rachel with Phillip as Matthew!

Nolebucgrl-How many times has she plugged her jewelry line since last summer? I count at least 5 and I’m being conservative.

Oh man, I couldn’t even begin to count. There was that terrible anniversary or birthday or whatever where they had Bo give her the fleur de lis pendant and she asked him how she knew he loved the fleur de lis. That one was pretty bad. I’m not sure of the other times, but that one comes to mind right away.

Which incident was worse? I don’t know…at least the new wedding band wasn’t a fleur de lis I guess.

Remember when Bope, Doug and Julie and Jarlena had the Santo and Colleen letter reading club? Well at one point, Hope was bringing Sami up to speed, the doorbell rang, and Hope was like “Oh, I hope it’s the delivery man with my new fleur de lis earrings!” Really KA? Kathy Griffin is less self promoting.

Oh yeah…I remember that one now. hehe That’s so bad. I’m surprised she hasn’t put on her jeans and modeled them asked how the fleur de lis on the pockets looks. Maybe she’ll visit Bo in prison and do a fashion show.

I didn’t care that much about Daniel being there because he basically didn’t get to say anything. I was far more concerned by whatever the hell that dress Chelsea was wearing was.
