Because it can’t be said enough: I love Melanie! Who knew that I would like a character so closely associated with Max? (By the way, I talk a lot about my dad on the other site I blog for, but my mother expressed a very scary opinion yesterday on the phone: she likes Max. Let’s just say that my eyebrow arched up higher than Kristian Alfonso’s and Drake Hogestyn’s combined.)
I think Melanie and Nick are way cute together and I like how it makes Chelsea jealous. With that being said, I also like how Melanie’s crushing on Phillip. I don’t think they’ll get together-Phillip needs someone more mature-but I enjoy how over the top she is about him. When Max was trying to warn her about Phillip’s dangerous ways, including his ill-advised affair with Belle, Melanie was all “I bet it was hot”. No, Melanie, there’s nothing about Belle that could ever be construed as “hot” but I think she was able to at least reach lukewarm with Phil. Now she’s lost at sea with Gilligan. And what’s up with Max hating Phillip all of a sudden? Why is his affair with Belle any of Max’s business anyway? Oh, I forgot, because Max is like Prince-in-Waiting of Salem now. Seriously, though, didn’t Max and Phillip use to work together? Is Max still upset that RW Chicago Kyle-Phillip crashed his race car? Get over it, Baby.
Does Chelsea’s hair have more stripes in it now? I don’t know what depresses me more: her hair or the sad, sad Horton cabin set? I can’t wait for the very special episode wherein Maggie attempts to make it Green.
I’m still loving Stefano as Baby-Sitter/Professor of History. Granted his choice of reading materials and trips to the cemetery are a little unorthodox, but is he really more misguided than any other parental figure in Salem? Honestly, when was the last time you saw Marlena play with the twins? She’s too busy wrapped up in the ever consuming saga that is her life that she doesn’t realize that her son is fighting demons in middle America, her favorite daughter is adrift on a sail boat, and her other daughter is ever-pregnant. Then there’s Roman: has he ever been around the twins? I’m guessing not since apparently he’s not allowed to leave the police station set.
I hate Chelsea’s stripes too.
Love Melanie/Nick. Love Mick. So of course now it looks like they are backing off that and her with a new love interest. I hate this show.
Hee, I love Mel as well but I am worried about the Philip flirting. She should find him hot, that goes without saying, as long as he doesn’t respond I’m cool with it. Mick is adorable!
The return of the streaks is not good. Not good at all. I am very upset and praying that it’s stuff that was shot before that reshoot where her hair was streak free.
I love Steffy with Johnny. It cracks me up and it seemed like something he would do, take him on an outing to a cemetary. As both a DiMera and a Brady, Johnny is sure to die and rise a zillion times, so best to prepare him!
The stripes must go! It’s like Kate Jr. all over again.
