I do, I really do. He’s my favorite person in the whole Robin and Patrick Togetha Foreva subplot. I know that doesn’t sound like much; but considering all the other characters on this show, he should take it as a compliment. I like that Coleman is one of those background characters that actually knows his place (i.e. the background). He’s not being shoved down our throats with some throwaway back story (Leyla) or take no prisoners attitude (Epiphany); he actually has a legitimate job and doesn’t interfere with the ebb and flow of the storyline (unlike say Lourdes).
But enough about Coleman, let’s talk about Nadine and what a raging psycho she’s become. I’ll be honest, I spend a good portion of my day second guessing my past relationships and I have been accused by more than one ex-boyfriend of “over-thinking things” but if I ever acted like Nadine I would have several restraining orders issued against me by this point. I tried to trace out her progression from level-headed yet quirky nurse to folksy, dimwitted stalker but I guess the transition was either extremely swift or too gradual for me to really take notice. Honestly, I’m not sure if we’re supposed to take this Nadine/Nikolas romance as “crazy, screwball comedy” or as an after school special. I keep waiting for Lulu to be released from Shadybrook so Nik can have Nadine committed in her place.
While we’re on the topic of The Crazy One, I understand she’s in a mental hospital so the faux Juicy track suits make sense. What’s up with the changing hairstyles though? Some days she has stick straight hair (I guess when she’s sure that she’s crazy) and then today her hair was wavy and flowing (perfect for an afternoon visit from Johnny). Do they allow her to keep a curling/straightening iron? If so, is that really the best idea at a mental institution?
Speaking of the mentally ill, what’s up with Papa Zacchara trying to marry Claudia off to Sonny? Claudia’s right; this is something out of the Borgia family. I think marrying into families was a good idea in theory and somewhat in practice back in the day, but does Anthony really think that is a good idea jeans? Either I’m extremely worn out (highly likely) or I’m getting soft in my old age, but I’m even starting to like Anthony, crazy gardening anecdotes aside. When he said something about raising bees the other day, I snorted and I felt good about myself since it was the first time I laughed about something not involving Max on this show.

I love Papa Zucchini. Yeah he’s nuts but it’s a fun sort of crazy and I love how he says loooooooloooooo so sarcastically. He will always be awesome for that alone.
Coleman is the man! I adore him. I can’t wait to see him stand up at Scrubs wedding and more importantly, dance at the ceremony. Coleman dancing will never not be cool.
The Nadine change from sweet to stalker was as abrupt as you think it was. I liked her, she was a happy kid in a town full of morose morons, but now she’s as batshit at Looooolooooo.
I loved Nadine and I hated Leyla. Although yesterday, I actually felt bad for her since she’s been relegated to Nadine-sidekick. It’s like I’m taking crazy pills. Up is down. Day is night.
