How messed up is the Bromance between Jason and Spinelli? Isn’t Sonny supposed to be Jason’s BFF? Isn’t that what we as loyal viewers have been treated to year after year? The women may come and go–Brenda, Carly, Sam, Liz, etc.–but the bond between Sonny and Jason is golden. That is until a newer, younger model came in and swept Jason off his feet (or something equally ridiculous). It’s odd, because I thought Jason and Sonny were on good terms again. Now Jason’s agreed to wear a wire to Sonny’s Guys and Dolls Party to get Spinelli off the hook. Honestly, is Jason Morgan pulling a Jason Mesnick by getting together with Sonny and then turning the tables to be with Spinelli? If ABC was really all about the Corporate Synergy they would have Chris Harrison show up to the cocktail paty with a tray full or roses and a voucher for a helicopter ride over Santa Barbara.
On the bright side, at least Alexis is back in the action. Even if said “action” is just sitting around Kelly’s with her depressed nephew or reenacting a screwball comedy caper with Spinelli and Winnifred. Then there’s the issue of Sam’s P.I. license. Is Agent Grant Harrison really so petty that he’d hold up something trivial like that to bring Jason and Spinelli in line? Yes, but this is Sam McCall we’re talking about. Why is she even trying to do things legally? This is a woman who went on some rogue police mission with Lucky that involved hottubs and international men of mystery. Besides, doesn’t Agent Grant Harrison know who he’s dealing with? A third rate reality star An Everyday Hero!
For the love of God, what is up with Maxie’s hair? And has she been wearing green every day this week? Did St. Patrick’s day morph into a five day long event and no one told me? I’m also really over her relationship with Spinelli. Why wouldn’t I be? I hear about it everyday. Everyone does. That’s all Maxie can talk about when she’s not helping Johnny cheat on Lulu. Okay, that also upsets me, because anything that draws sympathy to Lulu is a problem. Obviously, I can’t stand Lulu but cheating is cheating and the Maxie/Johnny non-affair is surely going to set up some Toothy McOutback revenge sex that will blind me.
Speaking of cheating, everyone’s favorite neurotic doctor, Robin, is now Nancy, an unmarried pharmaceutical rep from San Francisco with no kids and no responsibilities. She’s also embroiled in some steamy movie watching with a hunky carpenter not named Ty Pennington. Meanwhile, back in Port Charles, everyone is still debating whether or not there’s anything wrong with Robin. Really fools? I think the best was when Liz handed Patrick a pamphlet detailing Post Partum Depression and he remarked that Robin was showing all the warning signs. What did this pamphlet list at symptoms? Hiding your baby in a tree? Entrusting your sick baby to a mob prince and First Assistant at a fashion magazine? Leaving town and reinventing yourself as a drug rep? Yet Mac is still clinging to the fact that Robin’s perfect. I mean all good mothers seek shelter for their babies in trees, right? Except when I say “good mothers” I mean “birds”. Really, Mac? This is why you need the help of the FBI and Organized Crime to solve cases.

Mac made me so sad…please don’t be a doofus, Police Commissioner. They’re giving you scenes and you get to look like a moron. Typical. I am so irritated with Robin right now…PPD or not, running out of town and dating a bad carpenter? Do they just throw darts at story ideas and slap them willy nilly on screen?
I call it the Jeff Bowden Approach. Throw darts at the wall and do whatever sticks. Hence the old running up the middle on 3rd and 20.
You two are sick of the PPD storyline, but I’m sick of Patrick & Robin all together. Is there a reason why these two are being driven down our throats? Going back to the days where storylines surrounded GH is fine by me. However, I can’t take another day of Robin & Patrick receiving massive amounts of air time. Some actors were meant to portray supporting roles, and that’s how I feel about KM. It seems since she swooped into town 3 years ago, she’s been a part of one irritating storyline after another. Please, someone answer my pray and put both Robin and Patrick in 3 year comas so I can semi-enjoy my favorite soap again.
I’m right there with u, Brandi. Spinxie has become a running sideshow instead of a potential couple. It infuriates me to see Spinelli’s character hasn’t evolved after all this time. He’s still a goofy hacker with minimal social skills. How long does Guza expect us to put up with that? I’m all for seeing Spinelli every other day, as long as he’s growing up instead of living in a virtual bubble. I’d love to see Spinelli’s character develop into a real protégé for Jason. There’s some menacing potential there that Guza has yet to tap.
On a side note, Winifred is so adorable. I’d pick that cookie over Maxie anyday.
