Just a Simple Girl with a Dream

I love Tony, don’t get me wrong, but doesn’t it seem like he’s getting a better sendoff than marquis couple, John and Marlena?  At least Tony is going out with a bang…or a rusty nail to the heart.  Ugh, that was gruesome. 

Now, I’m not the best Days viewer.  I confess to being liberal with the Fast Forward button and I even skip and entire episode or three, but I can’t keep track of Stefano and his relationships with his children.  Tony wanders in and out, making snarky comments and now he’s going to flounce out of Salem after making a grand proclamation.  Lexie, who was rightfully horrified that her father arranged for the mayor’s killing, is now the Godmother of EJ’s child.  Benji is dead and EJ is once again the Golden Child…until of course Stefano finds another illegitimate son to bring into the fold.  Here’s an idea: maybe he can adopt Phillip.  That would piss off Victor and provide lots of angst for EJ. 

But back to Tony and his dramatic fall off a short pier.  I think I’m most upset that Melanie wasn’t around and thus won’t be blamed for anything.  What am I talking about? Any day that Melanie is not on my screen is a holiday.  Although, I was subjected to Mia, which is almost as painful.  Good God, what a sad sack that girl is.  I not-so-secretly want her to hook up with Will and go back to Europe so we never have to hear from either of them again.  Of course that can’t happen since we need Will to yell at his parents as they continue to accumulate offspring like they’re the Jolie-Pitts.  Between Sami’s Baby Grace and the not-quite-Lucas’ child that Chloe is carrying, poor Will has become the Elder Statesman of Manipulated Children of Salem.
