So the new and improved General Hospital Stairs have claimed their first victim: Emma’s stroller. Honestly, as soon as I saw a stairwell prominently featured in the middle of the triage area, I knew we’d be in business. I just didn’t realize it would be in the span of a week and a half.
But did we really need the stairs? They’re the latest in a long line of plot contrivances to show us that Robin Scorpio is out of her mind. I’ve always found Robin annoying and sancimonious so the fact that three forths of Port Charles feels the same way is just aces in my book. That’s the thing: we’re being told that Robin has PPD but it just seems to me that we’re dealing with a self righteous teenager who liks to take overnight trips to Rochester. Plus, she seems really put together (at least fashion wise) for a new mom. Of course, you have people like Liz and Patrick going on and on about how Robin is not behaving like her old self. Um, actually she is. She’s always thought she was better than everyone else so why is it a surprise that she refuses to medicate? After all, if Jason can be the hitman with a heart of gold, can’t Dr. Scorpio be the rare mom who shakes PPD by just putting it out there, a la The Secret?

Hee…I have loathed Robin these past few months, whereas I really didn’t care one way or the other about her before. Seems to me her PPD just involves her being a royal bitch all the time. What fun.
I love the stairs in the middle of the hospital, so random, so pointless, so full of soapy contrivance. Let the fun begin!
