I’m not sure what I found more annoying today: Sami, a mother of four, sporting pigtails while trying to goad Rafe into staying in Salem; Lexie’s self-righteousness at Stefano–seriously she loves him one week and then turns around and disowns him again the next; or Mia’s sudden desire to be the Jack in Sami’s Will and Grace subplot.
Let’s start with Sami and Rafe. When he told her that the papers were reporting that EJ ordered a hit on Phillip, Sami looked so shocked. Um, who else would try to kill Phillip? The motive for this crime is so obvious that the Salem Police Department should have solved this five minutes before it occurred. I love the fact that Stefano and EJ actually thought they could stage a wedding to provide an alibi. Because no one ever hires contract killers to murder people during weddings. No, Stefano is the only person Salem, USA that saw the independent and little known movie, The Godfather.
Of course, when Stefano develops stomach pains he automatically assumes that Victor has poisoned him. While Victor confirmed as much to EJ, I love that we now live in a day and age when Stefano can only reasonably point to one person in town that wants him dead. Do you know what would have been awesome? If Victor had totally camped out and dressed like the “Wicked Queen as Old Beggar Woman” from Snow White. I think it would have tied in nicely wiht his love of storytelling (see his master class on Greek mythology from today’s episode).
Lastly, the Baby Swap. God help me, but I can’t really deal with Mia. She’s not as ghastly as Melanie but still. I think part of the problem is that I feel like I’m in pain every time she and Will are in a scene together. At this point, I’m just afraid that Mia will discover that she’s Grace’s mother and take her off the show. Is it wrong that I like Grace and Sydney more than the adults?

No, the babies are infinitely better than the adults on this show. I think Johnny should get his own spin off, he’s nearly Cameron Webber levels of awesome.
I know the hit was obvious but it still sucked me in. Of course I’ve paid little attention this week so it was only temporary. What I loved is how the poisoner of the coffee cup was Greek, so she had to be a Kiriakis henchmen. Can we only have henchmen from our country of origin?
Yes. It’s practically West Side Story in Salem.
