I think the Kiriakis/Dimera feud could be interesting, but Stefano is so watered down at this point he’s like two day old Kool Aid. Plus, I don’t find EJ to be fun anymore. Maybe it’s the hair or the wishy-washy “I love Sami”/”I love Nicole”/”I love my daddy!”/”I hate my daddy” business, but I’m over him. He’s a jerk but not a fun jerk, like Phillip sometimes is. He’s just mean and boring. I know Nicole’s a baby swapping psycho, but she deserves a husband who loves her. It’s a sad day when I debate whose marriage is more screwed up: Sonny and Claudia’s or Nicole and EJ’s? I’d call it a draw right now.
Speaking of marriage, I so did not call Phillip proposing to Stephanie. They’ve been going out for like five minutes. Who are they? Celebrities? Characters on The Hills? Maybe I should start reading spoilers again but why do I feel like that’s too much effort at this point? I wish that Steve and Kayla were still around; I would love to see Steve’s head explode at the thought of Stephanie living in the Kiriakis manse.
Meanwhile, I am still on board the Sami and Rafe Train. I love that a romantic night at the lake can turn into a casual game of Scrabble at Marlena’s penthouse. It reminded me of the Jason/Melissa Seattle date on The Bachelor, except Sami at no point busted out a tube top snake dress.
